| There are probably less than three in my city. Maybe even only one. We need more. But it seems like only Death and Black Metal are being played here.
What is it like where you are from? Is it hard finding fellow Doom musicians? Are there Doom bands putting on shows there? | |

| My city is Bendigo and the only doom band I have seen here or even heard of from here is called SORE. Two piece who use guitar & bass amps, also drums. Slow. Heavy & Fucking Loud!!
Other than those guys, I have to say fuck all. We get the occasional noise artist here or there but no real other doom to speak of. |

| This is looking a bit grim then as in my home city (Bristol) there aren't ANY doom bands at all!! There are some great bands (GONGA,SALUTE,THE HEADS,GEISHA,JAGERMONG) but none are actually 'doom' as such,'heavy' yes but not doom. We do have a small scene though thanks to the mighty Denim & Leather promotions who have put on gigs by Unearthly trance,Moss,Sunn0)),Witchcraft & Electric Wizard amongst many others so all is not lost Also our own smaller set up Land of Nod who have put on Iron Hearse,Against Nature and the mighty Warning. Props to Neil who puts on Into the Void doom & Metal night too.

| It's the same here in Sheffield unfortunately, and this from the same county that brought you Paradise Lost, The Prophecy, My Dying Bride etc. It's pathetic here!! | |

| Im in Amsterdam but i see all Netherlands as one country (since its 5 times smaller than my naitve Sweden) and you can travel all over it in 5 hours tops
Theres tons of dutch doom and protodoom bands in the D.I.Y scene. Roadburn in Tilburn and Dutch Doom Days in Rotterdam are also a treat. For instance The Lamp Of Thoth, Warning, Griftegard, Sub Rosa and tons more have played at The Dutch Doom Day festival in Rotterdam.
Bands i like from Netherlands: Tonerlow (fucked up pysch sludge doom), The Devils Blood (occult rock), Orange Sunshine (60s Blue Cheer style), Heavy Lord (Sludge Doom), Lucid (Stoner Rock), Officium Triste (Goth Doom), Massa Christa (Stoner), Mary Bell (Sludge) |
