Not for them the wonky path of 'musical diversity and sonic experimentation' Church of Misery is
indeed a church were if things ain't broke then don't be coming round here and fixing them and
if they are broke then they can't be arsed fixing them either.
With original vocalist and all round loon Yoshiaki back in the fold and again featuring the ultra
fuzzed flare flapping of miniature bass god Tatsu this record holds no secrets and plays no games.
It just ROCKS! very LOUDLY again and again and if you don't like psychadelic doom rock played with
gung ho spirit then why the hell are you reading this?
The (prime) suspects this time on the lyrical front feature cover star pervert/sadomasochist and
Willfred Brambell lookalike Albert Fish,cult leader and 'godfather of Matamoros' Adolfo De Jesus
Constanzo,James Oliver Huberty who killed 21 in a McDonalds in San Diego and Richard Trenton
Chase who ate raw dead animals,was a Necrophiliac, drank his victims blood and was a full circle
fruitcake.The only song on this album not to feature one of the aforementioned charmers is their
cover of Sir lord Baltimores' 'Master Heartache' which sounds like rock n roll's (un) timely demise
or a Japanese freak brothers wet dream depending how stoned you are.
If you were never a fan of Church of Misery this record will not change your opinion but if you are
then snap this up you sick monkey.
