Singapore Pelli Tower Revealed
Developers Keppel Land Ltd recently unveiled their latest project due to grace Singapore's skyline by Pelli Clarke Pelli.
The tower named the Ocean Financial Centre will provide 85,000 square metres of grade A office space and pushes the bar higher on eco friendly design.
Located in Raffles Place, a coveted address in the financial world the tower will stand at 43 storeys and will replace the Ocean Building that currently occupies the site, this tower is the fourth redevelopment of the site the heritage of which harks back to 1864.
Sporting a classic no fuss look the soaring, all glass tower culminates in a lipstick style peak on top of which leafy terraces and a sky garden will feature, not quite a laurel wreath crown but close enough.
In terms of innovation state of the art is not limited to the premium finishes the offices will have, the tower can boast not only the largest solar power panel but also has the first hybrid chilled water system in Singapore.
Workers will also be able to enjoy spectacular views of the bay below whilst a public plaza which will have a glass canopied roof and be surrounded by green walls go hand in hand with the towers green concept, allowing the public to enjoy a tranquil oasis on lunch breaks or strolls.
It also has some of the largest floor plates that range from 1,900 square metres to 2,300 square metres allowing greater flexibility for future tenants needs.
Due for completion in 2011 the tower has already hit the radar of future tenants both old and new, the neighbouring ocean towers will remain operational during construction of what could soon be one of Singapore's most iconic towers.
